I have heard these phrases a thousand times after people receive their pet photo online gallery. Opening your online gallery full of your edited images from your photo experience for the first time is overwhelming and exciting all wrapped up in one.
Choosing one or two images out of 40+ images is no easy task (especially if 90% of them bring tears of joy and laughter!) A key concept to keep in mind is that most people FEEL that they want EVERYTHING when they first get their gallery (believe me – you are not the only one!).
But what people have FOUND is that they only want a few images to display as artwork in their home. Of course, the task of choosing a few images is where lies the challenge.
I recently spoke to a client who was paring down her list of images and this was her clever criteria for choosing images to purchase:
#1 Is it a unique image?
#2 Could I not be able to re-create this image?
If you can answer “yes” to these two questions then you have a winner! She pared down 40 images to 8 images to display as artwork in her home by using this criteria. Woot! Woot!
